CHARIOT MOBILISES SAIPEM 12000 TO DRILL ON RABAT DEEP PERMITS, MOROCCO

Chariot Oil & Gas, the Atlantic margins focused oil and gas exploration company, announced that the Saipem 12000, a sixth generation ultra-deepwater drillship, has commenced its mobilisation to drill the RD-1 well on the Rabat Deep Permits in Morocco (Eni Maroc B.V. 40% (operator), Woodside Energy (Morocco) Pty Ltd 25%, ONHYM 25%, Chariot Oil & Gas Investments (Morocco) Limited 10%).
The Saipem 12000, had planned drilling operations on behalf of ENI in block 3 in Cyprus’ EEZ in February. The vessel had to stop the transfer journey as it was stopped by six Turkish war ships with the notice not to continue to the programmed drilling location.
