SKD ALLIANCE AWARDED 5-YEAR CONTRACT

SapuraKencana Drilling Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded a contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. (BSP) for the provision of its Tender Assist Drilling Rig SKD Alliance. The contract is scheduled to commence in April 2018 for a firm period of five years with options to extend for an additional five years.
SKD Alliance is a purpose built semi-submersible self-erecting tender assisted drilling rig, built by Keppel FELS in Singapore and delivered in November 2001. With pre-mooring the unit can operate in a water depth of 6,500ft. (Source and image: Sapura Kencana)
