TECHNIPFMC AWARDED SUBSEA CONTRACT BY OMV IN THE NORWEGIAN NORTH SEA
OMV (Norge) awarded TechnipFMC with a significant integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for the Berling natural gas development project, following a successful front-end engineering and design competition (FEED).
The development concept for the field is a 4-slot subsea production template tied back via a 24-kilometer pipeline to the Equinor-operated Åsgard B processing platform for separation and treatment. TechnipFMC will design and install the subsea production systems, controls, pipelines, and umbilical for the development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The start of the subsea installation is currently planned for Q2/2024.
The Berling discoveries in production licence 644 (PL 644) area were made 2018. OMV (Norge) AS is the operator for the development and operations with 30% working interest. The license partners are Equinor Energy AS (40%) and DNO Norge AS (30%).
