WIKING HELICOPTER TO SUPPORT BEATRICE WINDFARM IN NORTHERN SCOTLAND
Wiking Helikopter Service GmbH has signed a multi-year contract with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) to support their Wind turbine maintenance process to the Beatrice Windfarm in North Scotland North Sea territory. WIKING will provide helicopter hoist operations for service technicians and material to wind turbines onsite for maintenance services. “We are delighted that we have been selected by SGRE and value the continued confidence in our high level of safety, quality and performance standards” stated Ernst Nassl CEO Wiking Helikopter Service GmbH. “As the leading helicopter / hoist operations service provider in Europe, we are proud to again build with this partnership on our 43 years aviation experience supporting our wind offshore as well our oil and gas customers”. The operations will start soon to grant SGRE in time and efficient wind turbine maintenance service level agreements. Flights will be operated with Airbus Helicopters H145, departing from Wiking’s new base in Wick (North Scotland) to the Beatrice offshore wind farm in the Moray Firth.
